Need some Jean Therapy?
Having a Denim Relationship problem? Let our experts try to give you a little counseling…
Flat Butt? We advise avoiding stiff denim fabrics that flatten. Choose soft stretch denim fabrics and higher rises, with wide set pockets.
Large Calves? If you are looking for a dressier look, choose flares or wide bootcuts. Don’t be afraid of skinny fits, just make sure they are in avery soft stretch denim and try wearing with a calf length boot to elongate the leg. A cigarette fit is also great as it kicks a little around the ankle to balance the calf. Finally, a lightweight boyfriend rolled jeans is part for flattering the entire leg for the warmer weather.
Unsure how to wear Prints & Colors? Be brave! Get the right fit. Try coordinating with your shoe color for a longer look, or pair with black or white to ensure your colored jeans get the “POP” attention. As the weather gets cooler, try pairing your colored jeans with neutrals such as grays or beiges, to tone down their summery effect. Pair your Prints with solids rather than other prints, and if you want to wear them with other color, make sure the saturation or pastel is in the same color family. Have fun!
Muffin Tops are for Coffee! Even the best brand of jeans can give you the dreaded muffin top effect if they do not fit correctly at the waistband. Apple and Pear figures suffer from this fate when they are trying to get the correct fit on the back of the butt and thighs, without excess fabric.
